Last night we visited the Open night of the Salford University MA Exhibition at Media City. The work varied in ideas and media and the space was well set. We spoke to the artists who explained their work and problems they faced putting up the exhibition.
3.33 is an exhibition curated by and showing the work of the MA Contemporary Fine Art group from the School of Arts & Media at The University of Salford. The exhibition for the group is an opportunity of experiencing the curating aspect of a public exhibition, from it’s installation to it’s communication. As individuals, it is a way of presenting their work by placing it in an ‘unknown” space, confronting its rules and properties, playing almost as invaders. As part of the MA, producing the exhibition contributes to their research, thinking of the context in which they place themselves as artists and how it impacts their practise.
